B-Sides & Defcon 2011

Vegas gets more and more jammed up with good talks every year. It took me several passes through the various schedules to narrow down what I'd like to see this year. I'm skipping Black Hat. Now that I'm no longer part of of the cash-rich and irresponsibly frivolous financial services industry, I actually have to justify the expense for these things, and Black Hat didn't make the cut. They have some fine speakers and talks, but not $1600 worth, after you factor in the repeated/dated talks, and the talks that will be available at other venues. Have fun at your security trade show, dudes!

So, these are the talks I'm hoping to get to. If history is any guide, I may make it to half. Hopefully, the return of talks broadcast over the hotel TV system will help me get more in at Defcon. There are a couple big gaps in my b-sides schedule; I am working a couple security shifts, and so I didn't put down talks for those windows.
